What is the difference with disinfecting ethanol?

Disinfectant ethanol is a product that complies with the Japanese Pharmacopoeia standards.

This product is not a medical supply or quasi medicine.

*In response to the situation that ethanol for disinfection is insufficient due to the influence of the new coronavirus, it can be used as a substitute for disinfectant ethanol by special notification by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.

What are the components of Powerful ethanol-based disinfectant?

The components of Powerful ethanol-based disinfectant are as follows:

Ethanol (76.9-81.4 vol%), Water

As additives, Isopropyl alcohol (less than 5 vol%), Normal propyl alcohol (less than 2 vol%)

Since it has no non-volatile components, it has excellent drying properties and no residual substances.

I want to use it in small portions. What kind of container can I use?

The following materials can be used:

・Polyethylene (PE)

・Polypropylene (PP)

・Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

・Glass container

Please note that other containers may be deformed, corroded or damaged.

Can I use it diluted with water?

The ethanol concentration of this product has been adjusted in advance to maximize its disinfecting effect.

It is recommended to use the undiluted solution because the disinfecting effect will be reduced if it is diluted with water.

How long is the expiration date?

Due to the characteristics of high-concentration alcohol products, there is no expiration date, but our quality assurance period is 1 year from the delivery date.

It is recommended to use up within the above period regardless of whether it is opened or not.

Can it be used for food?

This product is not alcohol for food, so please do not spray it directly on food or use it on cooking utensils.

What is the difference with ethanol for food additives?

Ethanol for food additives is ethanol that has been approved as a food additive.

This product uses vegetable ethanol, but it is not a food additive grade.

Are there any precautions for storage?

Store in a cool dark place (20°C or less).

Since the product is volatile, the cap of the opened product should be tightly closed.

Are there any usage precautions?

Please note the following three points:

1) This product is flammable. Do not place near fire or high temperature.

2) Make sure the lid is tight after use. In addition, please make sure that there is sufficient ventilation when using.

3) Do not use on materials that dissolve in alcohol, such as leather, varnish, and styrene resin products.
