Reference: Regarding ethanol concentration
The concentration of ethanol for disinfection according to the Japanese Pharmacopoeia is 76.9-81.4 vol%, but the concentration is determined by referring to the results of the initial test (1900s) when it was established.

In addition, 70-80 vol% ethanol has been found to work against a wide range of bacteria and viruses.
Recent reports indicate that disinfection and virus elimination are possible even with low-concentration ethanol, but many reports show the results when contacted with ethanol for about 1 minute, which is not realistic.
